The efficiency of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have improved by adding ultrathin molybdenum sulfide (MoS2) nanofillers to poly(vinylidene fluoridetrifluoroethylene) (P(VDF-TrFE)) nanofibers. This enhancement significantly increased output voltage, with the best results observed at 0.07wt% MoS2. The method involves a modified hydrothermal synthesis of ultrathin conductive MoS2 and introducing sulfur vacancies in the nanofibers. This advancement holds promise for enhancing wearable energy harvesters.
